Master artist Au Yeung Hing Yee is known as the 'hidden art practitioner' who was once a high-achieving student of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China who later settled in Singapore.
Au has great interest in art, literature, and history and therefore has done a lot of research; his artistic insights is unquestionable. Many of his works have Tang or Song poems inscribed in them through expression of abstract brushstrokes and colours. This also showed his strong interest in Chinese culture especially those disappearing cultural legacies. While exploring new expression styles, he also experiments with oil, acrylic and Chinese ink and created many spectacular works in the progress.
