Zhou Hua, a master artist in today’s art world, was born in Baoding, Hebei, and currently lives in Beijing. He was brought up into a family of scholars and has always enjoyed Chinese painting and calligraphy since he was a young boy. He has journeyed all around his motherland China's famous mountains and rivers over the last few decades, accumulating a vast amount of creative resources. He adores the calligraphy and painting masters Li Kuchan and Qi Baishi's, and his work has grown to emulate theirs.
Zhou Hua’s paintings have been celebrated far and wide, as he has received many prestigious titles and recognitions in light of his artistic mastery.
In 1998, his works were specially selected into the "Zhongxiang Cup" National Exhibition Collection of the China Artists Association, and served as a member of the jury of the exhibition. From 1999 to 2001, his works were compiled into large-scale calligraphy and calligraphy collections such as "Appreciation of Chinese Celebrities in the New Millennium", "Collection of Chinese and Japanese Calligraphy and Calligraphy Masters in the 20th Century", "Dictionary of Modern Artists in the World". In 2010, his Chinese painting works were selected by the jury of Asian Games Contemporary Art Exhibition and won the Outstanding Award.
He embarked to the United States to participate in the China Dream World Friendship and Peace Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in July of 2014, later winning the highest award. Mr. John Wallace, Chairman of the American International Cultural Property Exchange, awarded Zhou Hua a certificate of honor, and US Congressman Ms. Zhaowen Meng awarded Zhou Hua an honor Certificate!
Later that same year in December, he participated in the launching ceremony of the Year of the Horse stamps by famous contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy artists. The work was produced by China Post "The 65th Anniversary of the Republic's Glory Collection Album Zhou Hua Album". In the same month, he participated in the cultural festival celebrating the 15th anniversary of Macao's return.
In late May 2017, he accompanied party and central leaders to visit Spain to exchange cultural and artistic exchanges with the local Chinese. It was a successful event, with the knowledge imparted and camaraderie gained through the act of cross-cultural and artistic learnings.
