Wang Yu Feng was born in 1952 in Changchun City of Jilin Province, China. In 1978, he was admitted to the professional oil painting department of the Fine Arts Academy at Northeast Normal University. He has been teaching in the Fine Arts Academy of Northeast Normal University since 1984. Currently, he is the artistic creation and research fellow of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, director of the Revolutionary Art Academy, a committee member of the Southern Gate District Chinese Communist Party and Changchun Charity Organization.
In June 2010, his oil paintings, the "Religious City" and the "Dried Flowers Series 8", were selected by artists from the committee of national tertiary institutions for exhibitions in Guangzhou. That year, a total of 84 pieces of his works were selected for the Small Size Oil Painting Exhibition organized by the Jilin Province Artists Association at the Northeast Asia Art Centre. In the same year as well, the Light of Oriental Culture in Beijing Arts Exchange Centre presented the "Yufeng Art Exhibition", with a total of 64 of Wang’s oil paintings being exhibited for this solo exhibition at the 789 Art District in Beijing. In May 2011, Wang's oil painting, "Condensing Memory", was selected for the My Land and My People Oil Painting Exhibition. In June 2011, one of his oil paintings was selected for an art exhibition in conjunction with the 90th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party at Baishan Song Shui Jilin Fine Arts Exhibition. In December 2012, a solo art exhibition was organized for him at the atrium of Ministry of Information, Communication & the Arts in Singapore.
