Dariush Zahedi started painting at the age of 12 and moved on to graduate from Isfahan University in 1986. He worked as a project engineer in the National Iranian Oil company for five years but had always held a passion for the arts and it eventually became his main career. He often enjoyed the company of great Iranian artists such as Messrs. Rahim Navehsi and Parviz Izah Panah.
Mr. Dariush’s paintings range from subjects of cats, jugs, platters, plateaus, and rapids. Particularly, his exquisite paintings often reference Iranian people, more specifically, Iranian women; the fine details included in his works capture the exquisite beauties of Iran’s pride.
In 1994, he began his career as a professional artist and has since been an active participant in domestic and international art exhibitions.
