Low Kim Chit

Low Kim Chit graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a Fine Arts Diploma in 1994 and from the University of Central England in Birmingham, United Kingdom with a Masters in the Arts in 1997. He is a member of The Society of Chinese Artists, the Lanting Art Society, and also the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni Association. His paintings have been acquired by local and overseas hotels, corporates, and also private collectors.
Low is versatile in various art techniques and mediums and uses them to the best of his abilities with works showcasing local landmarks and streets with notable buildings. He often uses acrylic and watercolour mediums to paint these local places in great detail. His brushstrokes are controlled when painting buildings and famous local landmarks while also creating atmospheric perspective with his art pieces. Despite having background objects often be painted afar with lighter colour schemes to indicate a misty backdrop, Low is meticulous when painting them thoroughly, including every tree, car, and even window.
Low not only paints local places but also flowers and plants in their natural habitat. He uses analogous color schemes accompanied by a bold colour to make his contemporary artworks pop, while also intertwining both objects in nature freely.
