Wang Zhen Yu graduated from the Liaoning Academy of Art Education and the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, and is a member of the Chinese Artists Association. His artworks have been showcased in domestic and overseas exhibitions including the China Art Fair and Hanbo International Hong Kong. Nearly a hundred of his works were published by more than a dozen publishing houses in China. They have also been acquired by local and foreign collectors as well, including those from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Wang’s realism masterpieces are oil paintings of beautiful female subjects often from the royal family in an oriental and ancient setting. Donning traditional costumes did not hinder him from painting every single complex detail on the clothing beautifully with textures similar to smooth and velvety cloth. He is meticulous in every detail, even painting the folds of the costumes the ladies wore and not forgetting the background as well. Wang painted with careful precision to showcase nearly every possible feature present in the setting with shadows from the light source painted in too. This realistic approach allowed him to bring life to oriental aesthetics on his canvas through careful strokes of the brush and blends of various shades and hues. The emotions that his paintings emanate bring a sense of pride that can be seen in the eyes and features of the stunning ladies, as if showing off their poise and elegance through portraits of themselves by an established artist.
