Wang Fei specialises in oil painting and utilises his skills to paint many beautiful sceneries of Singapore. He uses the combination of bright colours and wide brushstrokes to form the shape of buildings. This art technique is especially prominent in his ‘Malay Kampong’ and ‘Shop House’ paintings where the usage of various colours painted with wide, short strokes flatter one another and blend together exquisitely. He also paints realistic art pieces with cleaner brushstrokes, thinner lines and controlled blending between colours to create the refractions of light in lakes for ‘Clarke Quay’, ‘Cavenagh Bridge’ and ‘Little Guilin’ artworks as well as the reflections of the sky in his ‘Marina Bay Sands Singapore’ masterpiece.
